dennis orme shaw, doris rohr and lee boyd

Our second major exhibition in the Arboury Gallery features Dennis Orme Shaw, Doris Rohr and Lee Boyd.
Dennis's paintings have been very popular for many years but his recent work may come as a bit of a surprise, as he reaches 65 he has become freer and more abstract in his mark making and has created some powerful works which will make a lot of people re evaluate Dennis as an artist.

Doris Rohr a lecturer at the University of Ulster is showing her drawings of  landscapes and Lee Boyd is exhibiting some of his "manimal" series of drawings. It is rare for a commercial gallery to exhibit drawings on the scale of this show and we are grateful that the gallery is so large that we can afford to give space to works that may not be very commercial but have strong artistic integrity. Having said that Lee's drawings should sell well particularly after  the BBC2 series "Show me the Monet" is aired on tv in which one of his drawings will be critiqued.
